"National Information Technology" announces students contest to develop a mobile application with the use of open data portal www.data.gov.kz.
"National Information Technology" announces students contest to develop a mobile application with the use of open data portal www.data.gov.kz. Purpose of the open data portal is to enable public to participate in government of the state through the use of data and to create applications, to conduct comprehensive analyses and studies. Through the competition, NIT, JSC seeks not only to demonstrate the capabilities of the portal, but also promote young generation for creating new useful applications and services. Copyright for the application remains with a developer. College and University students can participate in the contest, at that, age and education program are of no importance. Prize fund of the contest: 1st place - MacBook Air; 2nd place - Apple iPad Air and 3rd place - Apple iPad mini. You can send your invented application to the email address opendata@nitec.kz before October 1, 2014 inclusive (stating full name of student, name of your college or university and contact details). Idea originality, social significance, capability and prospects of commercialization will be taken into consideration for assessment. Results of the Contest will be announced during the Global Forum of E-Government on October 6-7, 2014.
