Seminar on Kazakhstani Open Government held at EXPO 2017

On August 15, a series of seminars on “Open Government as an Element of Kazakhstani e-Gov” were held at the Silicon Valley Corner in “Nur Alem” pavilion at EXPO 2017.  

Anyone can participate in government agencies` web conferences

Topical web conferences are being held on the Open Dialogue portal for Kazakhstani citizens. Anyone can ask questions within a web-conference. 

Curious datasets appeared on the Open Government portal

To date, the new datasets have been published on the Open Government portal (Open.egov.kz), in the Open Data component (data.egov.kz).

An interesting statistics on citizens’ applications to the blogs of government agencies’ senior executives

The statistics of “Open Dialogue” portal, and specifically, of the “Government Agencies’ Senior Executives Blog Platform” service for the five years’ period showed that the issues relating to education, healthcare and public order enforcement keep being the most relevant ones for Kazakhstani citizens.  Thus, for the above period, a great number of applications came to the below blog platforms of Ministers.

Awarding WSIS Prizes-2017 champions

Today, in Geneva (Switzerland), under the World Summit on the Information Society, the awarding ceremony for WSIS Prizes-2017 winners and champions took place. Three projects from the Republic of Kazakhstan were announced champions:  e-Government, Open Government, and Integrated Call Center 1414. It should be reminded that in the prestigious WSIS Prizes-2017, 345 projects from multiple countries worldwide were competing, of which 90 were adjudged champions and entered TOP-5 of the best projects in each category.  

The draft “Fast Helper” emergency situations mobile app developed by a school student was recognized the best one at the open data contest

National Information Technologies JSC in collaboration with the “STEP” Computer Academy, have held the contest on mobile apps development based on open data.

Kazakhstan’s projects are champions at WSIS Prizes-2017

At the WSIS Prizes-2017 (World Summit on the Information Society contest), three projects from the Republic of Kazakhstan were announced champions:  e-Government, Open Government, and Integrated Call Center 1414.

On April 29-30, Microsoft Kazakhstan, National Information Technologies JSC and MOST business incubator hosted a hackathon with application of Open Data and Microsoft Azure cloud tools.  

The first Open Data-based Portal launched for ​agrarians in Kazakhstan

The first agricultural portal was launched in Kazakhstan. AidosAmanbai is the developer of the portal which can be used by all the agrarians countrywide.
