Open Data for Healthcare will be discussed in Astana

The next regular Open Data Roundtable will be held on June 29, 2015 in National Information Technologies JSC premises. The event will gather on one platform the experts from Ministry of Health and Social Development and the members of healthcare private sector.

In item 94 of “Nation’s Plan: 100 Specific Steps”, the Head of State paid special attention to creating the Open Government and to developing the Law on Access to Information intended to ensure openness and transparency of activities of information holders, in particular, government agencies. Currently, government agencies generate and store the enormous array of data that is of importance to citizens, yet remains inaccessible for them.

According to the hosts, the roundtable will provide the attendees the opportunity of asking questions and making suggestions on enlarging the list of agencies’ data they would like to see publicly available. For instance, while accessing medical data for businesses and citizens, one can find the solution of multiple problems relating to: development of new medicine preparations, search for innovation methods of treatment, and development of analytical projects.
