Use Open Data and win in Tech Garden Cup

Participants of first technological festival Tech Garden Fest 2015 can win prizes from National Information Technologies JSC. 

Being one of the partners of this event, National Information Technologies JSC established three special winning places for the festival`s participants in “Open Data” nomination.     

As technological platform, it is recommended to use tools for creation of mobile apps and services on the basis of open data published on  data.egov.kz portal.

For the best applications or services developed with the use of open data, winners will get the following prizes:

  • 1 place – gaming laptop;
  • 2 place –  iPad;
  • 3 place – smartphone.

 

In September 24-26, the first technological festival Tech Garden Fest 2015 will take place in Almaty. In the course of this event, 48-hours technological marathon (hackathon) will take place that is conducted for developers.

The event is organized by the Ministry for Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan together with Innovation Technologies Park independent cluster fund (Almaty Tech Garden), Kcell JSC and KIMEP UNIVERSITY.

All programmers can take part in it either on their own or as part of team.   

Tech Garden Cup hackathon enables participants creating projects on the basis of technological platforms of the event`s partners (international companies) getting all the necessary technical support.  

According to organizers, such events as Tech Garden Fest have a considerable influence of the development of IT-sector in general, helping developers to exchange experience and attract attention to their projects and skills.     

For reference: Open Data is an accessible data provided by government agencies that is published in machine-readable format using which it is possible to create IT-projects for various purposes. Currently, there are about 300 unique data sets published on Open Data portal    which are ready to be used.
