New datasets from government agencies have been published on Kazakhstan’s Open Data portal

24 new datasets have been published on the Open Data portal data.egov.kz.
The data was provided by three government agencies: Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry for Investments and Development, and Ministry of Energy, Republic of Kazakhstan.
Specifically, Ministry of Education provided the data on e-Learning system. Now there is statistics on the number of classes, teachers and students as well as the data on students’ progress in schools connected to the e-Learning system can be found on the open data portal. There is only data for Astana and Almaty cities is available at this moment.
The data on environmental status of the country were received from Ministry of Energy: data on level of pollution of localities, on radiation status of the atmospheric boundary air, and also on the changes in the composite index of pollution of the country’s water entities. Furthermore, the registers of multiple expert organizations and labs are published.
Technical Regulation & Metrology Committee under Ministry for Investments and Development presented the lists of laboratories and conformity certification agencies included in the Customs Union’s Uniform Register and other data on the accredited organizations in this field.
It should be noted that all datasets have been posted in machine-readable format and are accessible on API, which is convenient for developing apps and services.
A new version of the portal with the functionality for preliminarily viewing the content of datasets is going to be launched by the end of this year. This would allow easily viewing and downloading the data provided in machine-readable format for common users.
